DevOps Engineer

Full-time · 3+ years · Remote / Hybrid / On-site · U.S. citizenship required

The role

// Linux · Harvester HCI · Networking

Help run the platform our engineering work depends on. You'll manage Linux fleets and Harvester HCI clusters, look after the network beneath them, and automate the routine work so the team can focus on harder problems.

What you'll do

  • Provision and run bare-metal and virtual infrastructure on Harvester HCI and Kubernetes-native platforms.
  • Administer Linux fleets end to end: performance tuning, hardening, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and debug the network underneath: TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, load balancers, and HTTP/S.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments, infrastructure as code, and testing.
  • Automate routine operations in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Work alongside our software engineers to keep delivery continuous and systems available.

What you bring

  • 3+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or systems administration.
  • Deep Linux administration on RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Rancher/Harvester HCI or an open-source KVM stack.
  • Solid networking: subnetting, routing, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and ingress/egress controls.
  • CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go for operational automation.
  • Comfort working in an Agile team.

Bonus

  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible.
  • CKA or CKAD certification.
  • Monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

Eligibility

  • U.S. citizenship required. Selected applicants undergo a background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • An active Top Secret (TS) clearance is strongly preferred.
